  • Welcome baby Dorian to the world! Dr. P is on maternity leave until September!!!

  • Welcome Riley McInnis, joining our lab as a MSc student through StFX Biology. Riley will be cosupervised by Dr. Tammy Rodela

  • New sea cucumber paper was published!

  • Welcome Owen Reay, joining the lab as a MSc student, completing his MSc through the University Centre of the Westfjords in Ísafjörður, Iceland

  • Dr. Penney attended the North American Congress for Conservation Biology in Vancouver BC.

  • We have several projects going on in our lab that started this Summer!

  • Welcome Allison (Aqua 450) and Courtenay (summer research assistant) to the lab

  • Dr. Penney attended Science Atlantic in Halifax along with several Aqua and biology students from StFX

  • Dr. Penney gave an oral presentation at the Society for Canadian Aquatic Sciences                      conference in Fredericton

  • Dr. Penney successful obtained a UCR-A from StFX for a project this summer!

  • Dr. Penney submitted a co-authored paper on a new species of sea cucumber

Dr. Penney gave a seminar for the biology department as part of her application for cross-appointment.

October

Tianze Pang (UPEI PhD student) just submitted a paper we co-authored based on his term paper!

Dr. Penney was invited to attend a DFO workshop on freshwater mussel recovery in the Canadian Maritimes

July

Dr. Penney joins St. Fx's Aquatic Resources Program as an assistant professor.
